Dantalion

Who?

Dantalion, also known as Dantalian, was a Great Archduke of Hell, commanding over 36 legions of demons. He was the 71st of the 72 spirits summoned by King Solomon. He appears to hold a book in his right hand. He was the sole keeper of the powerful books and tomes, which reside in the library of hell. Some of these artefacts had been stolen/brought down with Dantalion, before and during being cast out from heaven.

What?

He appears in many forms, and can take the shape of any face known to the summoner. He uses his power to bend the will of any man. He possesses the powers of love, and can uncover the deepest secrets held by any person, because of his guising abilities. His astrological sign, represents infamy.

When?

His story goes back to the time of the ‘war on heaven‘, where Dantalion sided with Lucifer, against God, and his angels.

Story:

He was anointed as a Great Archduke of Hell, and given the sole responsibility as the keeper and protector of all Hell’s ancient books, depicting their powers, deepest, darkest secrets, and even the most sacred book of all, ‘Easy home cooked meals, 30 minutes and done!‘, the original signed copy, by the creators of ‘Big Cook, Little Cook‘ (only joking, lol).

Anyway, so this geezer, he occasionally shared his knowledge with other demons, like Sargatanas. But rarely with humans. Although it was said that he made a deal with the ancient Egyptian Queen Cleopatra.

Near the end of his story, Dantalion takes Virgil under his protection (Virgil was trying to escape hell, multiple times). Eventually, Dantalion met his demise, being executed by Virgil’s perpetrators.

Pro Tip:

If you borrow a book from this fella, and you return it late, then you are gonna be one toasty piece of pork.
